This was supposed to just be a really quick study on skintones, but the picture kind of jumped up and ran out of control. ^.^ I finally learned how to use textured and custom brushes, and I think they help out a lot. Slightly inspired by The Phantom of the Opera.

This is Kal, another character from 'Drifting Embers.' I haven't quite decided whether I want some of my characters to have elf-like ears, so I painted him with and without them to see how it looks. I personally like the more human look. I was happy that this piece only took me two days! That's a record for me!

Skye

This is Skye, another character from 'Drifting Embers.' She actually isn't a demon or anything. The best description I can think of is that she is similar to a unicorn (only with two horns ^.^) that can change into a human form, similar to the kirin in 'The Twelve Kingdoms.'
